Leadership

Guided by our people.

KoaMana is governed by its board of directors. At least 51% of the board's votes are reserved for Native Hawaiian directors, and our Chairman is Native Hawaiian.

Charles Keoho is Kānaka Maoli, born and raised in Hawaiʻi, with family roots throughout the islands. He grew up in Wailuku, Maui, and still lives there. He is a Director and Vice President of KoaMana, a Native Hawaiian Organization, and leads its giving to the Native Hawaiian community.

For more than a decade, Charles has served on the board of the Community Clinic of Maui (Mālama I Ke Ola Health Center), a federally qualified health center. As Treasurer and Finance Committee chair, he oversees budgets, audits, and cash flow. A pilot, he brings the discipline of flight training to every board decision.

After the 2023 Lahaina wildfire, Charles and his wife volunteered with food distribution and relief for displaced families. He founded Kahua Media LLC and Aloha Mea AI, which teaches kūpuna to use AI and avoid scams and is building software to help Hawaiian families preserve their moʻokūʻauhau (genealogy).

Governance

Accountable to the community we serve.

  • A Native Hawaiian–majority board, set in our bylaws
  • Every community commitment approved by the board
  • A conflict-of-interest policy for every director
  • Public reporting once our giving begins
